Qasim has practised as a Mediator in costs, clinical and professional negligence and regulatory matters. He has mediated disputes of all kinds ranging from compensation for injury to feelings under s119 Equalities Act 2010 to £20 billion bank frauds.

Parties have included multinationals and other companies, individuals, members of political parties, faith centres and government agencies including Leeds City Council.

Qasim was a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee for six years and was part of a team that won the CEDR award for excellence on three consecutive occasions

As a solicitor, Qasim primarily had conduct of commercial and property disputes from the largest international professional negligence litigation in the English Courts (following the failures of BCCI and Equitable Life litigation) to disputes for commercial and residential landlords and tenants (inc £1.7m vacant possession claim), solicitors, doctors, dentists, recruitment agencies and other service industry professionals.
